Gloucester County's stamped concrete specialists

Patrick Breen Masonry & Concrete is based in Mullica Hill, in the middle of Gloucester County. Most of our work is within 20 minutes of the shop, so we know the township permit offices, the soil, and the drainage problems that come with it.

We specialize in stamped and decorative concrete. That means patios, driveways, walkways and pool decks that look like slate, flagstone, wood plank or cobblestone, poured as one solid slab with no joints to shift, no weeds and no settling pavers. We also build block steps, brick and stone masonry, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens and fire pits.

Every job is run by Patrick himself, from the first site visit to the final seal coat. Licensed NJ home improvement contractor #13VH00144300, fully insured, family-owned since 1983.

Why Gloucester County homeowners choose Patrick Breen

One crew, one owner

Patrick is on every job. You deal with the person who poured your patio, not a salesperson.

Built for South Jersey ground

We compact and base every slab for our sandy soil and freeze-thaw winters, with 4000 PSI concrete, fiber mesh and rebar where it matters, so your concrete does not crack or heave in year three.

Design before you pour

Pick your pattern and color from our chart, or use the Build Your Dream Patio tool to see it on your own house before we start.

Sealed and warrantied

Gloucester County stamped concrete FAQ

How much does stamped concrete cost in Gloucester County?

Most of our stamped concrete patios in Gloucester County run $20 to $30 per square foot installed: seamless textures $20 to $22, patterned work such as Ashlar slate $22 to $26, and premium multi-pattern work with borders $26 to $30 and up, depending on size, color work and site access. A typical 400 sq ft patio lands between $8,000 and $12,000. Broom finish concrete is less; pavers usually cost more. See our South Jersey cost guide for a full breakdown.

Do I need a permit for a patio or driveway in Gloucester County?

Usually yes. Most townships, including Harrison, Washington, Mantua and Deptford, require a zoning permit for a new patio or driveway, and some have setback and impervious coverage limits. We tell you what your township needs during the estimate.

Is stamped concrete better than pavers in South Jersey?

Stamped concrete is one solid slab, so it does not shift, grow weeds or need re-sanding. Pavers can be lifted and reset if a section settles. For most Gloucester County yards, stamped concrete costs less and needs less upkeep. Our comparison page covers the tradeoffs.

How long does stamped concrete last here?

With a proper base and resealing every 2 to 3 years, a stamped patio or driveway in South Jersey should last 25 to 30 years or more. Our freeze-thaw winters are the main stress, which is why base prep and air-entrained concrete matter.

When is the best time to pour in Gloucester County?

April through November. We pour in cooler weather with precautions, but spring and fall give the best cure. Book 4 to 8 weeks ahead in peak season.

Can you reseal or recolor stamped concrete someone else installed?

Yes. We clean, repair, recolor and reseal existing stamped concrete throughout Gloucester County, even if we did not pour it. See resealing and restoration.

What towns do you serve?

All of Gloucester County from our base in Mullica Hill, plus nearby parts of Camden, Salem and Burlington counties. See areas we service.
