Mullica Hill's hardscape and masonry crew since 1983

Hardscaping is the masonry side of the yard: paver patios, retaining and seat walls, walkways, steps, pillars, outdoor kitchens and fire pits. We have built it in Harrison Township for three generations, and most of our jobs are within 20 minutes of the shop.

We install Techo-Bloc, Belgard and Marmiro Stone, and we are one of the few crews in the county that pours stamped concrete too. That means you get an honest answer on pavers versus stamped concrete, and a patio, wall and lighting package built by one crew under one warranty.

Every hardscape job starts with the base. We over-excavate, compact clean stone in lifts, set edge restraint and finish joints with polymeric sand, because the base is what keeps pavers flat through our sandy soil and freeze-thaw winters.

Mullica Hill hardscaping FAQ

What does hardscaping cost in Mullica Hill?

Paver patios, walls and steps are priced on site for free, based on size, the product line (Techo-Bloc, Belgard, Marmiro Stone), wall height and what the ground needs. We send a written estimate within a few days. Our stamped concrete vs pavers page explains when each one makes sense.

Do I need a permit for a paver patio or retaining wall in Harrison Township?

A new patio usually needs a zoning permit from Harrison Township, and impervious coverage limits apply on some lots. Retaining walls over 4 feet need an engineered design and a construction permit. We tell you what your lot needs during the estimate and handle the paperwork.

Pavers or stamped concrete for a Mullica Hill patio?

Pavers can be lifted and reset if a section settles and give you the Techo-Bloc and Belgard looks; stamped concrete is one solid slab with no joints to shift or weeds to pull and usually costs less. We build both, so we will tell you straight which fits your yard.

How long does a paver patio last in South Jersey?

With a compacted stone base, edge restraint and polymeric sand in the joints, a paver patio should last 25 to 40 years. The base is what matters in our sandy soil and freeze-thaw winters, which is why we over-excavate and compact in lifts.

How long does a hardscaping project take?

A paver patio with a seat wall usually takes one to two weeks on site. Add a retaining wall, outdoor kitchen or lighting and plan on two to three weeks. We give you a schedule with the estimate.
